We had an incident on 2 UPS. Several rooms were affected, one of the is the routing room. Most of network equipment and servers impacted are online back again. We are investigating.
We are installing the new generators and there are issues currently with the power quality produced by the generators.
According to the UPS it is 40Hz while generators say it is 50Hz. The UPS reacts poorly to this type of input power and starts the automatic bypass. And both suppliers one of the UPS and other of the generator do not agree with what we see and whose responsibility this is.
We are handling with a problem that will not be fixed just with the goodwill of suppliers.
We have identified a manufacturing fault at voltage references on a high voltage cell.
This tiny fault, lead to a phase inversion during the generator rewiring works . It was therefore group problems.
This fault does not explain the problems of UPS on which the manufacturer is still working.
